Authorities at Tanger Med Port arrested a 20-year-old Danish national on Thursday night, who is internationally wanted for his involvement in an attempted murder case.
The suspect was arrested as he was preparing to board a ferry to a Spanish port. Checks in the international criminal police database, “Interpol,” revealed that he was the subject of a Red Notice issued at the request of Danish authorities.
Preliminary information suggests that the suspect is believed to be involved in a criminal gang that planned several attacks and murders using firearms.
The suspect has been placed under provisional detention, pending an investigation supervised by the competent public prosecutor’s office.
This arrest is part of Morocco’s ongoing efforts to pursue individuals sought for international crimes and highlights the importance of international law enforcement cooperation in addressing cross-border criminal activities.
