Morocco’s women’s national football team remains in the top three out of Africa’s teams in FIFA’s ranking released on Friday, holding 61st place worldwide with a score of 1426.02 points.
The Atlas Lionesses, who were previously 59th in the ranking published on August 16, are now third on the African continent, following Nigeria, which maintains its 36th spot globally, and South Africa, which has dropped three places to 53rd.
The US topped the ranking, while former runner-up England has dropped to fourth place, giving way to Spain, which has moved up one spot. Germany came third in the ranking.
According to FIFA, the next women’s world ranking will be released on March 6, 2025.
