The Spanish Army’s VI Maneuver Helicopter Battalion (Bhelma VI), part of the Canary Islands Command, continues its joint military exercises on Thursday in the Spanish-occupied enclaves Ceuta (Sebta) and Melilla.
The military exercise is part of the annual training program sponsored by the “General Command of Ceuta.”
The program extends to other Spanish-administered regions, including Melilla, the Balearic Islands, and the Canary Islands.
The exercises involve a range of tactical maneuvers, such as signaling, embarkation, and disembarkation, and strategic operations like airlifted troop transport.
The primary mission of Bhelma VI is to provide airmobile support to units under the Canary Islands Command. According to available information, the battalion is equipped to deploy helicopters for international missions and deliver humanitarian assistance to affected populations.
