Casablanca will host the 2nd International Children’s and Youth Book Fair from December 14 to 22, bringing together 340 publishing houses from 29 countries, with the Federation Wallonia-Brussels as the guest of honor, Morocco’s Press Agency (MAP) reported.
Sponsored by the Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Communication and building on the success of last year’s, the fair will take place at Anfa Park, strengthening Casablanca’s position as both a major economic hub and a growing cultural destination.
The program includes 405 workshops spread across seven interactive spaces, offering 45 sessions daily for young readers and aspiring writers.
In addition to workshops for children, there will be special training sessions on school library management for Ministry of Education officials. Another highlight is the 66 activities designed to encourage young artists and writers, fostering creativity and providing them with the tools needed to break through the book industry and be published.
The fair is not only a celebration of books but also a platform for international exchange, promoting Moroccan and global literary cultures while supporting the local publishing industry.
