Morocco received 15.9 million tourists in the first 11 months of 2024, representing 20% growth with an additional 2.6 million visitors compared to the same period in 2023, according to Morocco’s Ministry of Tourism, Handicrafts, and Social and Solidarity Economy.
The growth is driven by a significant increase in foreign tourists, up 23%, adding 1.5 million visitors, as well as a 17% rise in Moroccan expatriate arrivals, contributing an additional 1.1 million arrivals, the ministry said in a statement.
In November alone, the Kingdom welcomed nearly 1.3 million tourists, marking an exceptional 31% increase.
Morocco’s Tourism Minister Fatim-Zahra Ammor said: “We are witnessing an unprecedented phase in the dynamic history of Morocco’s tourism.”
She added that these record-breaking figures are a “testament to the impact of Morocco’s roadmap and represent a significant step toward the country’s goal of positioning itself among the top 15 global tourist destinations.”
