19-year-old Moroccan left-back, Youssef Lekhdim, has been called up by Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti for the first time to face Atalanta in the Champions League on Tuesday at the Gewiss Stadium in Bergamo, Italy.
Lekhdim, who has played 15 matches this season for Real Madrid’s B team, Castilla, scored the only goal in a 1-0 victory over Yeclano.
His call-up is a significant step in his short career, as he prepares to make his senior debut with the prestigious Spanish club.
Along with Lekhdim, the squad also includes Brahim Diaz, the Moroccan international player who continues to play a key role for the team and shine with the Atlas Lions.
This match against Atalanta will be crucial for Real Madrid as the team advances in the Champions League, and Lekhdim’s inclusion signals the club’s confidence in his potential.
