Morocco’s Wydad Casablanca (WAC) will begin its 2025 FIFA Club World Cup campaign on June 18 with a match against England’s Manchester City at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, according to the FIFA schedule released on Saturday.
This year’s tournament will feature an expanded format with 32 teams for the first time in history.
WAC’s next fixture is against Italian giants Juventus on June 22 in Philadelphia, before facing off Al Ain, an Emirati club featuring Moroccan star Soufiane Rahimi, at Audi Field in Washington, D.C, on June 26.
The tournament will conclude with the final on July 13, 2025 at MetLife Stadium in New York.
The 2025 Club World Cup will include 12 teams from Europe, six from South America, four each from Africa, Asia, and North America, and one from Oceania. The top two teams from each of the eight groups will advance to the knockout stage, raising the competitive stakes.
