Jordan and Morocco concluded the first session of their the two countries’ joint Consular Committee meeting last week in Rabat, focusing on addressing mutual consular issues and strengthening bilateral ties, the Jordanian media outlet Roya News reported.
Chaired by Ambassador Dr. Sufyan Al-Qudah of Jordan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ambassador Fouad Al-Qadamiri of Morocco’s Foreign Affairs Ministry, the discussions tackled legal and judicial cooperation, digital transformation of consular services, and exchange of expertise sharing.
The two sides also explored simplifying visa procedures and resuming direct flights between the two nations.
Representatives from both countries’ ministries of justice, interior, and public security, along with the Jordanian embassy in Rabat, participated in the meeting.
The committee agreed to hold its second session in Amman at a later date.
