Police officers stationed at the port of Tanger Med in northern Morocco seized 424 kilograms of cannabis resin hidden in a truck during border controls as the vehicle prepared to head for Europe on Thursday, security sources said.
A subsequent search uncovered an additional 11.4 kilograms of the same illicit substance concealed within the chassis and compartments of two other trucks.
Authorities arrested three drivers, all Moroccan nationals aged 34 to 43.
The suspects are now in custody pending further investigation under the supervision of the prosecutor’s office.
