Morocco’s Wydad Casablanca (WAC) football club will compete in Group G along with England’s Manchester City, Italy’s Juventus, and Al Ain from the United Arab Emirates in the group stage of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, following the draw held on Thursday, at the Telemundo Center in Miami, in the United States.
The new tournament format features 32 teams, including 12 European clubs, six from South America, four each from Africa, Asia, and North America, and one from Oceania divided into eight groups.
Group A includes Palmeiras (Brazil), FC Porto (Portugal), Al Ahly (Egypt), and Inter Miami (United States).
Group B features Paris Saint-Germain (France), Atlético de Madrid (Spain), Botafogo (Brazil), and Seattle Sounders (United States).
In Group C, Bayern Munich (Germany) will compete against Auckland City FC (New Zealand), Boca Juniors (Argentina), and Benfica (Portugal).
Group D brings together Flamengo (Brazil), Espérance de Tunis (Tunisia), Chelsea (England), and Club León (Mexico).
Group E is comprised of River Plate (Argentina), Urawa Red Diamonds (Japan), CF Monterrey (Mexico), and Inter Milan (Italy).
Fluminense from Brazil, Borussia Dortmund from Germany, Ulsan Hyundai from South Korea, and Mamelodi Sundowns from South Africa will compete in Group F.
Group H is made up of Real Madrid of Spain, Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia, Pachuca of Mexico, and Red Bull Salzburg of Austria.
The competition is scheduled between June 15 and July 13, 2025, in the U.S.
