Morocco’s Bilal El Khannouss delivered a standout performance at the Premier League on Tuesday night, scoring his first goal in English football as Leicester City cruised to a 3-1 victory against West Ham United.
The 20-year-old midfielder, making his ninth league appearance since a summer move from Belgium’s Genk, opened his scoring account and provided an assist for Jamie Vardy’s second-minute goal.

New Leicester manager Ruud van Nistelrooy, leading for the first time after replacing Steve Cooper, hailed the Moroccan player as a key figure in the Foxes’ much-needed win.
“It was a great performance from Bilal,” said Van Nistelrooy. “He has shown his ability to adapt and make a difference at the highest level, and tonight was just the beginning.”
El Khannouss’s moment came in the 60th minute, as he raced onto Victor Kristiansen’s pass and calmly slotted the ball past West Ham goalkeeper Alphonse Areola to double Leicester’s lead. The young star’s composure and creativity were evident throughout, giving Foxes fans a glimpse of his bright future.
