All the women’s categories at the 2024 CAF Awards feature at least one Moroccan representative, with a total of eleven nominations, according to the list published on Wednesday on the African Football Confederation website.
Sanaa Mssoudy was nominated for the Player of the Year award, while Khadija Er-Rmichi is up for Goalkeeper of the Year. Both players, along with their teammate Doha El Madani, have been shortlisted for the Interclub Player of the Year.
El Madani has also been nominated for Young Player of the Year, along with Lina Mokhtar Jamai.
Moroccan trainers Mohamed Amine Alioua and Lamia Boumehdi feature in the Coach of the Year category.
The Moroccan Women’s national team and Rabat’s AS FAR compete for the Team of the Year and Club of the Year awards, respectively.
Celebrating Africa’s top football talents, the awards ceremony will take place on December 16 at the Palais des Congrès in Marrakech, Morocco.
