Morocco’s National Office of Electricity and Drinking Water (ONEE) has called for bids to be tendered to construct a portion of a project to enhance the supply of drinking water to the localities of Sidi Allal El Bahraoui and Shoul, located in the Sale prefecture.
Funded by the German development bank KfW Entwicklungsbank, the project is part of Morocco’s national strategy to modernize its water infrastructure.
The tender, referenced under No. 84DR4/2024, involves civil and electrical engineering works to construct and upgrade essential facilities. Companies must submit bids by January 21, 2025.
The project includes the construction of two semi-buried reservoirs with a capacity of 1,000 m³ each, the installation of 22 KV/400 V electrical transformer stations, and the creation of caretaker lodges. It also covers connection works to existing water supply pipelines.
The infrastructure projects will be distributed across the Ameur and Shoul zones. The works will meet the growing demand for drinking water and strengthen the resilience of supply networks in these regions.
KfW Entwicklungsbank bank’s financing reflects its ongoing support for development projects in Morocco.
