Five Moroccan teams will represent the country at the World Robot Olympiad (WRO) finals in Izmir, Türkiye, from November 28 to 30. This international event brings together young innovators to showcase their skills in robotics and technological innovation.
This year’s WRO is set to be the largest edition in history, with a record number of participating countries and teams.
The Moroccan teams representing the country at the World Robot Olympiad in Izmir include “THE CYBERNAUTS” from El Jadida in the Senior Robomission Category, “MINDCRAFT” from Tangier in the Future Engineers Category. As well as “MINDCRAFT BRAVO” also from Tangier in the Junior Robomission Category, “MINDCRAFT DELTA” from Tangier in the Elementary Robomission Category, and “NEXTECH” from Casablanca in the Senior Future Innovators Category.
These teams secured their spots in the finals after a stellar performance at the national tournament held in May 2024 in Casablanca, organized by “LOOP for Science & Technology Association.” The event saw 65 teams from across Morocco competing.
Thanks to their exceptional skills, the top five Moroccan teams stood out, earning the chance to compete on the global stage.
The participating Moroccan teams aim to represent their country with distinction and to strengthen Morocco’s position on the global technological map. This event also provides a unique opportunity for the teams to exchange experiences with peers from around the world and explore the latest advancements in robotics and innovation.
LOOP for Science & Technology Association is a Moroccan organization dedicated to promoting education in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) for youth.
Founded in 2018 by young Moroccan engineers and experts, the association partnered with major international organizations like First and the World Robot Olympiad. LOOP organizes national events for STEAM programs, helping shape the future of Morocco’s young innovators.
The World Robot Olympiad is an international competition that fosters creativity, problem-solving, and robotics skills among young people aged 8 to 19. Each year, thousands of robotics enthusiasts from various countries participate in this inspiring event, which encourages youth to explore the fields of science and technology in a fun and engaging way.
