The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) Prime Minister, Judith Suminwa Tuluka, commended the growing economic ties between Morocco and the DRC on Tuesday following a meeting with Morocco’s Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch, in Rabat, Morocco’s News Agency (MAP) reported.
Tuluka stated that the meeting served to reinforce bilateral relations between Morocco and the DRC and to explore new avenues for collaboration.
Akhannouch congratulated Suminwa Tuluka on her appointment in April to the position of Prime Minister, becoming the first woman to lead a government in the DRC.
He reaffirmed both nations’ commitment to expanding economic cooperation ahead of the annual Joint Commission and to revitalising the Morocco-Congo Business Council.
The PM’s visit coincides with the 16th MEDays forum, an event dedicated to advancing African sovereignty and boosting economic exchanges across the continent. The forum runs November 27 – 30 in the kingdom’s northern city of Tangier.
