Morocco’s Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) has earned a spot in this year’s Global Employability University Ranking and Survey (GEURS) for the first time.
UM6P ranked first in Morocco, eighth among Arab countries, and first in North Africa. This places the university among the top 250 globally for graduate employability in the 2024 annual rankings.
Produced by French consulting firm, Emerging, in collaboration with Times Higher Education, GEURS’ ranking reflects the perspectives of international employers.
It highlights universities that excel in preparing graduates to meet the demands of the job market, particularly in fields requiring leadership, social impact, and STEM expertise.
The 2023-24 GEURS reflects a broader shift in global higher education. Employers are increasingly seeking graduates who can create social impact, lead organizations, and contribute to economic growth.
While U.S. and U.K. institutions continue to dominate the top ranks, their overall share of the top 250 has declined over the past decade. Asian universities, particularly from China and India, have gained ground.
The ranking also highlights the growing importance of universities in BRICS countries. Graduates from these institutions increasingly demonstrate the skills and adaptability that employers are demanding in today’s competitive, globalized economy.
Good job.
