Morocco is participating in the 5th Arab Sustainable Development Week, which kicked off on Sunday at the headquarters of the Arab League General Secretariat in Cairo.
Mohamed Nouri from the Moroccan Embassy in Cairo is representing Morocco during the four-day event, which is being held in partnership with the United Nations, the European Union, and the World Bank.
Held under the theme “Sustainable Solutions for a Better Future: Resilience and Adaptability in a Changing Arab World,” the Arab Sustainable Development Week features sessions to strengthen effective partnerships, boost sustainable development in the region, and have a tangible impact on the lives of Arab citizens.
The gathering comes at a time when the Arab world faces numerous challenges, including climate change, global economic instability, and geopolitical tensions—all of which exacerbate poverty and demand urgent, coordinated action.
Its goal is to create a dialogue platform between governments, investors, banks, and development agencies to promote sustainable investment. Representatives from governments, the private sector, civil society organizations, academic circles, and youth engaged in the area of development are participating in the Arab Sustainable Development Week.
