Morocco’s carrier Royal Air Maroc (RAM) received a new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner on Sunday at Mohammed V Airport in Casablanca. This aircraft is part of a ten-plane order placed by the national carrier prior to the signing of the 2023-2037 program contract with the government in July 2023.
The plane registered CN-RHA, was welcomed with a traditional “water salute.”A second Boeing 787 Dreamliner, registered CN-RHB, is expected to join RAM’s fleet in the coming days.

These two aircraft will expand the airline’s long-haul fleet to 11, boosting its capacity and competitiveness on the international aviation stage. The ten-plane order includes seven Boeing 737 Max aircraft for medium-haul routes and three Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners for long-haul operations.
RAM’s CEO Hamid Addou said that seven of these aircraft are still in the contractual phase. “While two will be acquired outright, the remaining units will be leased long-term. One Boeing 737-800 has already been delivered, and the rest are expected to arrive starting in March 2024,” Addou said.
On April 15, RAM launched a tender for new aircraft as part of its development strategy. The airline’s goal is to grow its fleet from 52 to 200 planes by 2037.
