Hot weather is expected from Saturday to Monday, with strong gusts of wind and dust storms anticipated on Sunday in several provinces of Morocco, Morocco’s General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM) said in an amber weather alert.
The DGM projects temperatures ranging from 28 to 33 from Saturday to Monday in the provinces of Sidi Bennour, Kenitra, Guelmim, Tan-Tan, Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, Chtouka-Ait Baha, Inezgane-Ait Melloul, Sidi Ifni, Tiznit, Benslimane, Berrechid, Essaouira, Casablanca, Mediouna, Mohammedia, Nouaceur, Rabat, Sale, Skhirate-Temara, El Jadida, and Safi.
The directorate also anticipates strong wind gusts with dust storms (75-85 km/h) on Sunday in Guelmim, Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, Chtouka-Ait Baha, Inezgane-Ait Melloul, Sidi Ifni, Taroudant, Tiznit, Al Haouz, Chichaoua, and Essaouira.
