A 36-year-old Moroccan national in Germany, who was wanted in Italy to serve a prison sentence of over 17 years, was arrested through the collaboration of the public prosecution office in Terni, Central Italy with assistance from German and Italian authorities, local media reported.
The authorities extradited the arrested person to Italian authorities at Milan’s Linate Airport. The man had been convicted for drug-related offenses committed between 2015 and 2019 in the city of Terni.
Following investigations that led to his conviction, the public prosecutor’s office at the Court of Appeal in Perugia issued a European arrest warrant.
