Aterian Plc announced significant mineral discoveries at its Azrar Copper-Gold Project in Morocco, according to a statement made on Wednesday by the company.
Located in the western Anti-Atlas Mountains, the Azrar Project spans 76.9 square kilometers and is positioned 30 kilometers north of Aterian’s Tata Copper Project.
Recent fieldwork has uncovered substantial copper, gold, and silver mineralization at priority targets within the Azrar Project.
Charles Bray, Chairman of Aterian, described Azrar as a “high-priority copper project” and highlighted its potential for large-scale development. The addition of significant silver and gold findings enhances the project’s appeal, opening avenues for joint ventures.
“The reported copper grades align with current market dynamics, while the discovery of economic silver and gold grades exceeds our expectations,” Bray stated. “We are optimistic about Azrar’s capacity to deliver robust exploration targets.”
The Azrar Project is part of Aterian’s 663.6 square kilometer portfolio in Morocco, targeting critical metals in regions with active and historical mining operations.
