Pedro Pascal shared a series of photos from the movie set of Gladiator II on Thursday, offering a glimpse into the film’s production in Morocco.
The Instagram post coincided with the US. release of the highly anticipated sequel, which sees Pascal starring alongside a stellar cast.
Captioned “Mémoire photographique” and tagged with the playful hashtag #Gladiator2ElectricBoogaloo, the post features a mix of work and play.
The photos included a shot of him practicing swordplay on set, along with several light-hearted snaps.
In one, Pascal and his co-star Paul Mescal enjoyed a dip in a picturesque Moroccan lake during a break from filming. Another showed the duo dressed in bee-keeping suits, adding a touch of humor to the otherwise intense production.
Pascal also shared moments with his friend and stylist, Coco Ullrich.
The film, directed by Sir Ridley Scott, picks up from 15 years ago when the Oscar-winning original Gladiator was filmed.
Paul Mescal leads the cast as the son of Russell Crowe’s iconic Maximus, with powerhouse performances from Denzel Washington, Joseph Quinn, and Fred Hechinger. Returning stars Connie Nielsen and Derek Jacobi reprise their roles from the first film.
The film is now playing in cinemas.
