Morocco’s national men’s rugby team advanced to the Group B final stage of the Rugby Africa Cup after a flawless 64-0 win over Botswana on Wednesday at Casablanca’s Mohammed V Athletic Complex.
The Moroccan team dominated throughout the match, showcasing strong offense capabilities and an impregnable defense.
On Sunday, the final match against Madagascar will take place at the same stadium. Madagascar previously defeated Cameroon 33-07.
The Group B victor will compete against the Group A winner–which will be Tunisia (the host), Nigeria, Ghana, or Zambia—in a decisive playoff match to be held in Morocco in December.
The winner will advance to the 2025 Rugby Africa Cup finals in Kampala, Uganda, a crucial step toward qualifying for the upcoming Rugby World Cup.
