The second International Children and Youth Book Fair will take place in Morocco’s Casablanca from December 14 to 22, at the Anfa Park, Morocco’s Press Agency (MAP) reported.
The fair, organized by the Ministry of Youth, aspires to build on the success of its first edition and cement Casablanca’s position as both Morocco’s commercial capital and an international cultural hub.
The fair will offer a unique opportunity to showcase books for young audiences, with the goal of fostering a culture of reading among future generations. It will feature over 35,000 book titles from 33 countries, with 100,000 copies available. The fair is expected to engage young readers and help promote the production of children’s literature.
In line with the fair’s educational goals, a diverse cultural program will accompany the exhibition, including workshops, seminars, and performances, aimed at both entertaining and educating attendees. Additionally, the event will provide a platform to support the book industry, particularly among children and youth.
Building on the momentum from the first edition, which saw 255 exhibitors, this year’s fair aspires to become an annual tradition, cementing Casablanca’s place among the select cities worldwide hosting international events dedicated to children and youth books.
The fair is part of a broader effort to increase cultural offerings and enhance Morocco’s international standing in the literary world.
