Morocco’s Minister of Youth, Culture, and Communication, Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid, acknowledged Visa for Music for promoting Morocco’s cultural heritage during his speech at the event’s opening ceremony at Rabat’s Grand Theater on Wednesday.
Bensaid highlighted that Morocco’s heritage is reinforced by its youthful population, its values of openness, and its cultural blending. He added that “these elements represent the foundation of the country’s growth and global presence.”
Brahim El Mazned, General Director and Founder of Visa for Music, highlighted this year’s festival’s international reach, including performances and delegations from Africa, Europe, Canada, the Caribbean, and Central Africa.
The opening show by the Moroccan band Tasuta N-Imal (Next Generation) featured a fusion of traditional Amazigh music and rock, offering both newcomers and long-time fans an opportunity to witness the band’s unique style.
Running from November 20 to 23, the festival includes indoor and outdoor performances across Rabat, bringing together artists, industry professionals, and audiences from around the world.
