The main planning meeting for “African Lion 2025” military exercise began in Agadir on November 18, 2024, and will continue until November 22, 2024, at the “South Zone Headquarters.”
This session brings together national and international military planners to finalize the details of the 21st edition of the multinational military exercise, Morocco’s Press Agency (MAP) wrote.
Scheduled for May 12-23, 2025, African Lion 2025 will feature joint military maneuvers, civil-military actions, and training on countermeasures against nuclear, biological, radiological, and chemical threats. The exercise will take place across several Moroccan regions, including Agadir, Tan-Tan, Kenitra, Benguerir, and Tiznit.
The exercise aims to enhance the operational capabilities of participating forces, improve interoperability, and strengthen cooperation between military personnel from various countries. It is designed to promote peace, security, and stability in the region.
