The 47th Kuwait International Book Fair will open Wednesday, featuring 544 publishing houses from 31 countries, including Morocco, under the theme “The World in a Book.”
Morocco will be represented by three publishing houses: Addar Al Maghribia Li Nachr Wa Tawziaa (The Moroccan House for Publishing and Distribution), the Arab Cultural Center, and Moroccan Publishers.
Jordan, the guest of honor for this edition, is expected to have a significant presence at the event.
The fair’s cultural program includes three areas, the “Cultural Pavilion,” which offers activities related to cinema, theater, and poetry; the “Cultural Café,” celebrating the Personality of the Year; and the “Authors and Books space,” where readers and authors can connect through literary evenings.
The program also features more than 90 activities, including tributes to iconic Kuwaiti and Arab cultural figures, according to Aicha Al-Mahmoud, Deputy Secretary-General for Culture.
