Morocco’s southern provinces, the High and Anti-Atlas Mountains, their eastern slopes, and the Souss region will experience cloudy skies Monday morning, bringing scattered rain and occasional thunderstorms, the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM) forecast on Sunday.
By afternoon and into the evening, partially cloudy skies will likely develop, delivering occasional showers in parts of the northern and central plains.
Strong winds are expected in the Anti-Atlas Mountains, Souss, and northern desert regions.
Morning temperatures will vary significantly across the country. Mountainous regions, including the Atlas, Rif, and eastern high plateaus, will have lows between 4°C and 10°C.
In contrast, the southern provinces and the Souss region will experience warmer temperatures, ranging from 15°C to 20°C. The rest of Morocco will have lows between 10°C and 16°C.
Daytime temperatures will drop slightly in the southern areas.
For coastal conditions, the Mediterranean and Strait of Gibraltar will experience calm to slightly choppy seas, while the stretch between Tan-Tan and Lagouira will vary from slightly rough to moderate.
