Elon Musk’s social media platform “X” has started offering its AI chatbot, Grok, previously available only to premium subscribers, for free to its non-paying users, according to media reports.
Grok is currently being tested in certain regions of the world to expand X’s user base and increase engagement on the platform.
The AI chatbot provides image analysis and query-answering functionalities, making it a direct competitor to popular models such as “ChatGPT” and other AI tools.
X launched the “Grok 2” model with image-generation features in August, powered by the “Flux 1” model from Black Forest Labs. In October, the company added a new functionality allowing the model to understand images.
