The judicial police in the Bni Makada area of Tangier in Northern Morocco arrested four individuals, aged between 40 and 50, on Wednesday on suspicion of possession trafficking, according to security sources.
The police apprehended the suspects while traveling in two light vehicles in the “Al-Majd” area of Tangier and seized two bundles of cannabis resin, weighing a total of 60 kg, hidden in the trunk of one of the vehicles, along with mobile phones used in the illegal operation.
One of the arrested is the subject of two nationwide arrest warrants issued by the judicial police in Tangier for allegedly organizing illegal immigration and forming a criminal gang.
The suspects are currently in custody under the supervision of the public prosecutor’s office awaiting further investigation.
