Abdelatif Hammouchi, Director General of National Security (DGSN) and Territorial Surveillance Agency (DGST) participated on Wednesday in the 50th session of the Supreme Council of the Naif Arab University for Security Sciences and the official graduation ceremony of the university’s 42nd cohort in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Hammouchi, a member of the council, participated in discussions where members approved the university’s 2025-2029 plan to enhance security training and research.
The plan addresses emerging security challenges, particularly artificial intelligence, cybercrime, forensic sciences, and crisis management.
He presented a 2025-2029 training strategy for the university, identifying a need to expand academic programs to align with rising public expectations for police services and address new security threats.
He reiterated the university’s commitment to excellence in training and encouraged innovation.
Council members also defined the key priorities for the strategy’s success, namely sustainable funding, governance reforms, digital transformation, and improvements to administrative structures.
The meeting coincided with the graduation ceremony of the 42nd master’s and doctoral cohort at Naif University. Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Minister of the Interior and Chairman of the Supreme Council, presided over the ceremony.
Naif Arab University, a regional leader in security and police sciences, works closely with the Council of Arab Interior Ministers and hosts students and researchers from across the Arab world. The Supreme Council, chaired by Prince Abdulaziz, oversees the university’s mission to develop security-related academic and training programs.
The University’s events will continue until Thursday.
