Paris Saint-Germain officially inaugurated its new PSG Academy in Morocco on Monday, with Moroccan football star and PSG defender Achraf Hakimi attending celebrations.
Located in Tamaris, Casablanca, the academy has been operational since September, offering young Moroccans high-quality football training based on PSG’s methods.
The PSG Academy Morocco offers training to young football players aged 4 to 18, providing first-rate facilities, including fields for 5-, 7-, and 11-a-side games.
The academy has over 300 young participants already enrolled.
Morocco is one of PSG’s strongest fan bases, ranking tenth globally with nearly five million followers on the club’s social media platforms.
Director of Diversification & Merchandising Nadia Benmokhtar shared her thoughts about the opening of the academy. “We are extremely proud to officially open the PSG Academy Morocco with Achraf Hakimi, an emblematic player from our first team,” she said.
“His presence here is a powerful symbol not only for young Moroccan talents but for the entire PSG Academy program,” she added.
The partnership with the Achraf Hakimi Foundation looks to support children from underprivileged backgrounds, offering registration scholarships to ten young players.
The collaboration will provide the children with training resources and facilities, creating opportunities for them to grow within a professional environment.
Fabien Allegre, Senior Management Committee Member of PSG, noted that the Academy will focus on community-based initiatives that promote both sports and education.
“The PSG Academy Morocco is not just a football school; it’s a vibrant space where each child has the opportunity to grow, flourish, and pursue their dreams,” Hakimi said.
“Seeing the spark of passion in these kids’ eyes is deeply touching, as I see myself in them,” he added.
