Morocco’s Foreign Affairs Minister Nasser Bourita participated in the inaugural Ministerial Conference of the Russia-Africa Partnership Forum on Sunday in Sochi. The forum will enhance diplomatic and economic cooperation between Russia and African countries.
Foreign Affairs Ministers from Russia and United Nations member African countries also participated in the forum. The conference builds on the foundation laid during previous Russia-Africa summits in St. Petersburg in 2023 and Sochi in 2019.
Conference organizers and participants reviewed the commitments made during the previous summits and explored avenues for future cooperation.
Leaders discussed strategies to address African countries’ pressing challenges and aspirations, while also examining ways to strengthen economic, security, and cultural ties between Russia and the African continent.
According to officials, the forum will pave the way to forge an effective cooperation that meets the dynamic needs and ambitions of African countries.
