Google launched on Friday “Google Vids,” a new Artificial Intelligence (AI) tool intended to make video creation easy for businesses, according to a report from “TechRadar.”
Vids uses the company’s Gemini AI platform to help users create professional videos directly from their browsers and is already available for Workspace users.
The tool is designed to simplify video production. With Google Vids, users can start with pre-made templates or use the “Help Me Create” feature to generate an editable video storyboard from a Google Doc.
Gemini AI then suggests stock images, video clips, text, scripts, and even background music. Users can customize their videos further by adding animations, transitions, and their own media from Google Drive or Photos.
One of the key features of Vids is its AI-powered voiceover tool, which offers different preset options. Users can also record their own voiceover, use a teleprompter, or include video or screen recordings.
Google first introduced Vids at Google Cloud Next 2024 event, and now it’s available to Workspace users on several plans, including Business Standard, Business Plus, and Enterprise Standard among others.
