Morocco’s National Police (DGSN) inaugurated two new police stations on Wednesday, a modern headquarters for the fourth police district in Es-Semara in the southern region of Laayoune, and another in Al Hoceima, in northern Morocco, to improve security services and accessibility for residents in both regions.
The new Es-Semara headquarters spans 600 square meters and integrates modern architectural features tailored to the southern provinces, with updated infrastructure and equipped workspaces, reception areas, and accessible entry points, ensuring close-proximity to police services for residents.
The facility will connect seamlessly to DGSN’s secured communication systems, databases, and computer networks, enabling smooth service delivery and real-time data access to enhance public safety, according to DGSN.
In Al Hoceima, a newly created second police district will now operate alongside the existing district to expand security coverage and respond effectively to citizen needs in this strategic location.
The office will offer essential services, including responding to complaints and emergencies and issuing official papers, all in a setting that satisfies strict safety regulations and local architectural tastes, guaranteeing community accessibility and efficiency.
The new facilities are part of DGSN’s broader initiative to modernize and enhance public access to police services across Morocco, improving service quality for both citizens and residents while supporting the country’s rapid development and local projects.
