Morocco sold a total of 11,12 million tons of cement as of the end of October 2024, marking an 8.24 % increase year-on-year, according to the Cement Trade Association (ACP).
In the month of October alone, Morocco sold 11.3 million tons of cement, a 19,74 % increase from the 1,08 Mt recorded in 2023, according to data from the APC.
Looking at the data by segment, delivery volumes for distribution were around 6. 45 million tons as of the end of last month.
The total volume of ready-mix concrete (BPE) deliveries reached 2.44 million tons, while pre-cast concrete (PREFA) reached 1.07 million tons.
The supply for general construction totaled 360.932 tons, infrastructure projects accounted for 722.773 tons, and mortar supply amounted to 54.623 tons.
The increase in sales of the binding material may indicate growing infrastructure and construction spending nationwide.
