The U.S. Embassy in Rabat has appointed Moroccan Parliament member Lalla ElHajja El Joummani to the international observer delegation for the upcoming U.S. presidential elections.
El Joummani is currently in Washington, D.C., undergoing training to familiarize herself with the legal framework governing the U.S. electoral process. She will observe the voting on Election Day, which falls on Tuesday.
The following day, she will hold a press conference to share her observations and findings from the election.
The international election observation mission is a collaborative effort involving the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights and the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly.
