The second cycling tour “CultuRide” organized by the Years of Culture (YOC) initiative, will take place from November 15 to 23, showcasing the prosperous Moroccan cultural and historical heritage.
The tour will bring together professional athletes and cycling enthusiasts to tour different regions of the Kingdom and is organized in cooperation with the official ambassador, Qatari athlete Ali bin Towar Al Kuwari.
Mohamed Saad Al-Rumaihi, CEO of Qatar Museums, highlighted the partnership with Morocco as part of the Qatar-Morocco Cultural Year 2024 that enables the celebration of the kingdom’s ancestral heritage and the development of a shared future vision.
He stated that cultural exchanges are mutually beneficial for both countries.
“The CultuRide tour across Morocco is not just a cycling trip — it’s an immersive experience, inviting us to connect deeply with the magic of Moroccan cities, villages, and, most importantly, its people,” he added.
The tour will commence in Casablanca, with 28 Qatari cyclists undertaking a 600-kilometer route, including scheduled stops in Marrakech, Tangier, and Amazigh villages situated in the Atlas Mountains.
Each site will showcase Morocco’s history, arts, and traditions, in line with the “Years of Culture” initiative’s mission to promote intercultural understanding through the exchange of experiences.
Moroccan cyclists will also participate in this circuit, sharing their experiences and perspectives.
