France’s President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, First Lady Brigitte Macron, departed Morocco on Wednesday, concluding their whirlwind three-day state visit to the Kingdom.
Morocco rolled out the red carpet for the couple during their visit, as they met with a number of officials and launched new initiatives. Morocco and France also signed an unprecedented number of agreements amounting to more than 10 billion euros.
The visit turns the page, and a new era now begins in French-Moroccan diplomatic relations.
At their departure from Rabat-Sale Airport, Morocco’s Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch, sent the President and Mrs. Macron off with a warm “au revoir.”
