The Moroccan national cycling team will participate in the 35th International Tour of Burkina Faso, known as Tour du Faso, scheduled from October 25 to November 3, 2024.
The athletes Adil El Arbaoui, Mohcine El Kouraji, El Houçaine Sabbahi, Ibrahim Sabbahi, Driss El Alouani, and Mehdi Arbaoui, will represent the kingdom at the event, the Moroccan Cycling Federation (FRMC) announced in a press release.
Morocco will compete at the championship along with Benin, Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, Mali, Niger, Senegal, Nigeria, Belgium, Russia, the Netherlands, and three Burkina Faso teams.
Coached by Mouhssine Lahsaini, the 2015 Tour du Faso winner, the Moroccan cyclists will engage in a 10-stage event covering 1,175 kilometers, with the longest stage at 138.5 kilometers.
In preparation for the upcoming contest, the FRMC held a training camp in Beni Mellal, located in central Morocco.
