The Speaker of Morocco’s Lower House, Rachid Talbi Alami met with the Chairman of the Swiss National Council’s Foreign Policy Committee, Laurent Wehrli, on Wednesday at the Parliament’s headquarters, in Rabat, to review bilateral relations between the two countries.
The officials discussed strengthening parliamentary cooperation as well as regional and international issues of mutual interest.
Talbi Alami highlighted the importance of maintaining regular communication between the two legislative institutions, engaging in dialogue, and exchanging knowledge on matters of shared concern.
He discussed the major reforms initiated by King Mohammed VI, highlighting advancements in key areas such as education, health, social solidarity, social protection, migration, climate change mitigation, and water management.
Wehrli commended the status of cooperation between Switzerland and Morocco and reaffirmed the Swiss Parliament’s commitment to fostering mutually beneficial and friendly relations with the Kingdom.
