A Moroccan delegation participated in the Arab League Council meeting held on Tuesday, in Cairo, Egypt to address the escalating crisis in Gaza.
At the request of the State of Palestine and supported by several Arab League member states, the meeting reaffirmed calls for Arab and international collective action to halt Israel’s ongoing violations against the Palestinian people, particularly in northern Gaza, according to the League’s statement.
Palestine’s representative, Mohannad Al-Aklouk, strongly condemned the international community’s inability to halt the escalating violence, describing it as a “disgraceful failure for humanity and a breach of international law.”
He added that future generations would recall the inaction of the international community, primarily “in failing to enforce UN resolutions, and ceasefire calls for an end to Israel’s illegal occupation.”
Morocco’s Ambassador to Cairo, Mohamed Ait Ouali, who is also the permanent representative to the Arab League, actively participated in the session.
