A offshore patrol vessel intercepted a boat off the coast of Dakhla on Tuesday carrying 38 sub-Saharan migrants, including a woman and a minor.
The would-be migrants had set out to reach the Canary Islands from Mauritania, braving weather and sea conditions in search of better living conditions.
The Navy Coast Guard brought the migrants back safely to the Port of Dakhla and provided medical care to them before handing them over to the Royal Gendarmerie for administrative procedures.
