Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita and his Estonian counterpart Margus Tsahkna stated on Monday that Morocco and Estonia are “committed” to enhancing bilateral relations to strengthen economic ties and facilitate mutual investment in various fields, Morocco’s News Agency (MAP) reported.
During their meeting in Rabat, Bourita and Tsahkna highlighted the growing relationship between Morocco and Estonia in recent years. The two nations agreed to further bolster their ties through regular consultations and reciprocal visits across various sectors to strengthen coordination and dialogue.
The two leaders explored several critical areas for potential cooperation, including maritime and port infrastructure, agriculture, with a particular emphasis on fertilizers, tourism, and education through university exchanges and online learning.
They also highlighted the importance of cultural cooperation, especially in the areas of film, archiving, museums, and judicial and legal cooperation.
As both nations face complex regional and global challenges, Bourita and Tsahkna highlighted the crucial need for international, regional, and bilateral cooperation to combat hybrid threats and organized crime.
The two countries acknowledged each other’s achievements in digitization, cybersecurity, and e-government.
