Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna highlighted Morocco’s “Digital Morocco 2030” strategy on Monday as a “true roadmap” to improve public services and government efficiency, Morocco’s News Agency (MAP) reported.
At the opening of the forum entitled “Morocco-Estonia e-Connect: Nexus of Digital Culture and Administrative Practices” at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University’s (UM6P) campus in Rabat, Tsahkna applauded Morocco’s leadership in digital governance within Africa.
He expressed Estonia’s eagerness to collaborate with Morocco to exchange experiences and enhance bilateral ties between the two countries.
“We would like to embark on this journey with Morocco, and we can achieve great things together,” he stated.
Tsahkna also highlighted Estonia’s achievements in establishing innovative e-governance systems, noting that 99 percent of public services in Estonia are available online, making it a “global reference model” in digital governance.
The forum focused on exploring ways for both nations to exchange expertise in the digitization of public services, a key goal of Morocco moving forward.
