Morocco features strongly at the 60th International Food Exhibition (SIAL), launched on Saturday at the Exhibition Park of Paris Nord Villepinte, Morocco’s News Agency (MAP) reported.
Morocco’s delegation represents over 80 exporting companies, showcasing the country’s diverse range of agro-food and fisheries products.
During a visit to the Moroccan pavilion, Samira Sitail, Morocco’s Ambassador to France, highlighted the significant interest generated by the stand, indicating that it had attracted a large number of visitors.
“We are very pleased to participate in the 60th SIAL Paris with 82 Moroccan companies,” El Mehdi El Alami, Director of Promotion and Development at Morocco Foodex, the autonomous institution responsible for export control and coordination, which organized the Moroccan pavilion, stated.
“This participation allows us to present our entire exportable food product offering, sourced from various regions of the Kingdom,” he added.
Spanning 1,102 square meters across two halls of the exhibition, the Moroccan pavilion offers an opportunity to promote the country’s local production potential and forge new connections with international importers.
A wide variety of Moroccan products are on display, including olive oil, pasta, tea, couscous, canned fish, confectionery, and biscuits. These products showcase the diversity and dynamism of Morocco’s agro-food industry.
The 2024 SIAL Paris event, held under the theme “Own the Change”, features 7,500 exhibitors from 130 countries and is expected to attract over 285,000 visitors throughout the event, which runs until October 23, according to the organizers.
