A drone from Lebanon targeted Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s residence in Caesarea on Saturday, with no casualties reported, according to his spokesperson.
The Israeli military confirmed that one drone hit a building, while two additional drones that entered Israeli territory were intercepted before causing any damage, Reuters reported.
The attack has not been claimed by Hezbollah or any other group, though the Iranian-backed Lebanese group has been engaged in periodic exchanges of fire with Israel since October.
The cross-border tensions between Israel and Hezbollah have intensified in recent months, raising concerns about the potential for further escalation in the region.
Israeli authorities have increased security measures in response to the drone attack, though no immediate official statements have been issued about potential retaliation.
Israel killed Yahya Sinwar, believed to be the “mastermind of the October 7 attack”, on Thursday.
