The Regional Investment Center of the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region (CRITTA) has made a significant impact as the guest of honor at the 19th Industry Partners Show (SIANE), held at the exhibition park MEETT, in Toulouse, France, from October 15 to 17, Spanish news outlet Atalayar reported.
Recognized as the largest industrial gathering in the South of France, SIANE focuses on promoting industrial growth by developing new skills, modernizing infrastructure, increasing productivity, and promoting the transition to sustainable energy sources.
The selection of CRITTA as the guest of honor is rooted in the remarkable achievements and development of the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region, which has become a hub for industries such as automotive, electronics, agro-industry, and renewable energy. The region’s industrial potential has attracted global interest, positioning Morocco as an ideal partner for foreign investment.
This progress is largely driven by the country’s Investment Charter, which promotes the collaboration between government and private enterprises, resulting in foreign direct investment (FDI) and partnerships with international businesses looking to expand in North Africa.
Morocco’s innovation, ambition, and industrial achievements were further demonstrated through the presence of high-profile officials and dignitaries at the event. Nadya Talmi, Consul General of Morocco in Toulouse, played a crucial role in supporting and showcasing CRITTA at the show, alongside Jalil Benabdillah, Vice-President of the Occitanie Region, and Jean-François Rezeau, President of the Occitanie Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Morocco’s Tangier region participation not only highlighted the strong relations between the kingdom and France but also set the stage for potential future partnerships. Benabdillah stated, “I am delighted to witness the incredible development potential of your region. We look forward to strengthening our ties and exploring collaborative opportunities with the Occitanie region.”
The success of CRITTA’s participation also reflects the broader political and economic ties between Morocco and France. Morocco’s growing prominence in international business relations is further boosted by its geopolitical significance and President Emmanuel Macron’s recognition of Morocco’s sovereignty over the Sahara. The diplomatic progress has paved the way for stronger cooperation between the two nations, benefiting industrial ventures and partnerships.
The event serves as a key platform where international industrial leaders and innovators present cutting-edge advancements and discuss future strategies.
SIANE also offered an opportunity for the younger generation to engage with the industrial world. More than 250 high school students were invited to gain insights into the operations of small and large companies, exposing them to career opportunities within the industrial sector.
The initiative underlines the importance of youth involvement in Morocco’s evolving industrial landscape, fostering future talent to sustain the country’s ambitious development plans.
