Ghita Mezzour, Morocco’s Minister of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, met with Helal Saeed Almarri, the Director General of the Dubai Economy and Tourism Department (DET), on the sidelines of GITEX Global 2024 currently ongoing in Dubai.
The two discussed ways to enhance cooperation and partnership in areas of mutual interest, particularly with respect to Morocco hosting GITEX Africa 2025, to be held in April in Marrakech.
During the meeting, Mezzour noted the success of the 2nd GITEX Africa, which took place in Marrakech in April of this year, It attracted over 1,500 exhibitors from 130 countries.
Mezzour also highlighted the importance of working together to strengthen efforts to ensure the success of the third iteration of the exhibition scheduled to take place from April 14-16, 2025.
Trixie LohMirmand, the Executive Vice President of DET (the organizing party for the ongoing Dubai event), attended the meeting.
GITEX Global 2024, which runs until October 18, is a platform to establish and strengthen partnerships, launch new solutions, and create transcontinental alliances to accelerate social and economic transformation through artificial intelligence.
