Morocco’s Minister of Digital Transition Ghita Mezzour met Abdul Rahman Al Thehaiban, Director General of Google Cloud for the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa on Tuesday to strengthen digital cooperation, during the 44th GITEX Global held in Dubai’s World Trade Center held between October 14-18.
Mezzour and the Google Cloud Platform team discussed during the meeting possible and adequate collaborations that would support the creation of digital solutions in the Moroccan market.
During the discussions, Mezzour presented Morocco’s “Digital 2030” strategy, highlighting the country’s ambition to be a “leader” in digital innovation by developing solutions that respond to evolving market needs.
During the event, Morocco’s Health ministry showcased its efforts in digitizing healthcare services to improve the national health system. Casablanca’s Chamber of Commerce also shared its experience with new technologies within its structures and across its member organizations, aligning with Morocco’s strategic goals for digital transformation.
The 44th GITEX Global is under the theme “Global Collaboration to Forge a Future AI Economy.” More than 6,500 exhibitors, 1,800 companies, and 1,200 investors from approximately 180 countries participated in the event.
The event seeks to promote global partnerships, introduce innovative tech solutions, and foster international alliances to accelerate digital transformation.
The GITEX Global platform catalyzes building global partnerships, launching new technologies, and advancing the worldwide AI-driven economy, with Morocco actively positioning itself as a key player in this area.
